There are love stories that deserve unique settings, and Megan and Tyler’s is one of them. Having come from the United States to celebrate an intimate elopement, they chose Rome for its romantic and timeless atmosphere. Accompanying them among the city’s most picturesque places was a privilege: from the ancient charm of Trastevere to the panoramic beauty of the Pincio Hill, to the serenity of Villa Borghese, where they exchanged vows.
A romantic start in Trastevere
Trastevere was the first stop on our walk-a vibrant, authentic place, perfect for telling the story of Megan and Tyler’s love. We walked through the narrow alleys, surrounded by pastel-colored houses, old shutters and flowers hanging from balconies, and photographed their moments of intimacy and joy, just as if they were part of the fabric of this neighborhood. The laughter and smiles, the spontaneous gestures, blended perfectly with the cozy and somewhat bohemian atmosphere of Trastevere.
Pincio: a panoramic plunge into the heart of the City
From the heart of Trastevere we then moved to the Pincio, an iconic place for anyone visiting Rome. Here, from the famous terrace, the view extends over the whole city: from the rooftops of ancient Rome to the domes and bell towers, to the horizon that seems to merge with the sky.
Villa Borghese: an intimate ceremony.
Villa Borghese was the perfect setting for their exchange of vows. Megan and Tyler chose an intimate and private place for their eternal “yes.” We then proceeded to stroll through the timeless beauty of Villa Borghese; the pond, the tree-lined avenues and then ending at the Temple of Diana.
Indelible memories
An elopement is an intimate and personal experience that has the power to transform every moment into an unforgettable memory. I hope that my images, which hold the magic of that day, will accompany them forever, bringing them back each time to that whispered “yes” among the beauties of Rome.
